Relax and Renew
Savira's gentle voice will not only ground you while you are on your mat but she will encourage you to explore the hidden possibilities that exist within each of your asanas.
Her understanding of the anatomy and the fact that each body differs from another is what enables her students to explore their own postures with safety.
Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga where postures are held between 3-5 minutes. It targets our tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, and our fascia on a physical level, while simultaneously improving and enhancing the flow of ‘chi’ in the organs.
In a yin class, the student is encouraged to soften the muscles and allow their breath to fluidly flow without putting too much stress on themselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Yin Yoga poses stimulate and remove blockages within the myofascial meridians in the body that enable the balancing of the body’s internal organs and systems.
It also allows us to clear the mind of toxic emotions and allow your body the opportunity to work through the blockages they have caused within the body. Yin heals us in ways we cannot even begin to fathom.
hectic and stressful lives we lead.
The practice is not about fitting into a shape but more about inviting the shape to adapt to our body using props as support. From an anatomical perspective yin targets the connective tissues, joints and the body’s fascial system. Creating a healthier physical body.
